Meet the Trainer

Nate Hess, Dog Behavior Specialist

Nate graduated from Stanford University (where he studied psychology) in 2003 and founded Dogspring Training in 2014.

In between, while living in Georgia, he stumbled into the world of dog rescue, completely unaware that it would change his life. What started as a sideline gig helping dogs that everyone else had given up on, soon grew into a full-time dog training and behavior rehab business.

Sometimes life takes us in unexpected directions. (As you may now be discovering with your own dog.)

Whatever you’re struggling with, he’s likely lived and worked through it. Even better, he’s learned what works, and can save you from making the same costly and frustrating mistakes he made. He learned which “quick fixes” don’t last, and which techniques will lead to lifelong transformations with your dog. Over the years, he’s developed step-by-step plans to people like you solve unwanted behavioral issues.

We will find solutions that are safe, effective and trustworthy. Your dog should (and will) bring you great joy.

Dogspring offers full-time, comprehensive, professional dog training and behavior services in Fresno, Clovis and select surrounding areas in California’s Central Valley.
